Paulette Brown-Hinds, Ph.D. is a second-generation publisher and family business owner, third-generation newspaper person, and former professor. As President/COO and Chief Griot of Brown
Publishing Company she is responsible for managing the company’s general operations as well as shaping company culture. She holds a doctorate degree in English from the University of California, Riverside and has written and taught extensively on memory and cultural continuity in contemporary literature and culture. She has also lectured on the subject throughout the United States and Europe, including The Salzburg Seminar in American Studies in Austria and the American Studies Center Aarhus in Denmark. Dr. Brown-Hinds sits on the boards of the IE Small Business Development Corporation, The Resource Center for Non-Profit Management, and Technology Access Partnership. Dr. Brown-Hinds is a lifelong learner and student of small business culture and entrepreneurship. |
