Paulette Brown-Hinds, PhD
Chief Executive Officer


Paulette Brown-Hinds, Ph.D. is a second-generation publisher and family business owner, third-generation newspaper person, and former professor. As President/COO and Chief Griot of Brown
Publishing Company she is responsible for managing the company’s general operations as well as shaping company culture. She holds a doctorate degree in English from the University of California, Riverside and has written and taught extensively on memory and cultural continuity in contemporary literature and culture. She has also lectured on the subject throughout the United States and Europe, including The Salzburg Seminar in American Studies in Austria and the American Studies Center Aarhus in Denmark. Dr. Brown-Hinds sits on the boards of the IE Small Business Development Corporation, The Resource Center for Non-Profit Management, and Technology Access Partnership. Dr. Brown-Hinds is a lifelong learner and student of small business culture and entrepreneurship.

A graduate of Wilberforce University in Ohio, Regina Brown has worked in sales and customer service for various companies including Fidelity Investments and Toshiba Business Solutions before joining Brown Publishing Company, the parent company of The Black Voice News and BVPR & media services, as Chief of Advertising. It is Ms. Brown's mission to ensure that advertisers not only appear within a focused strategic environment, but also that their advertising dollars are leveraged with smart marketing partnerships. As the top advertising professional for BVPR & media services she strives to build businesses and serve as a solution provider for advertisers and sponsors. As founding editor of The Black Voice News' Urban Chic, Ms. Brown is cultivating the next core group of Black Press readers by targeting young urban professionals.
