He was one of the chart-topping country stars that led the country crossover evolution in the early 1990s, and now Collin Raye is coming to Agua Caliente Casinos Cahuilla Showroom for an exciting one-night-only acoustic event on Friday, December 10. Raye has a string of hits dating back to 1991, when he topped the charts with, Love Me. Since then, he has had a total of 15 songs go to number one, including Not That Different, Little Rock, I Think about You, and My Kind of Girl. He has also had eight top-5 singles and 15 number one music videos. Country Music Television (CMT) lists four of his videos among the top 100 music videos of all time.
Raye started attracting critical and popular attention in 1991 with the release of his debut album, All I Can Be. By 1997, he had been nominated for male vocalist of the year by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. In the following years, he went on to receive numerous awards and nominations. He remains very much in demand for concerts, and he performs more than 100 live dates each year.
Raye recently inked a deal with the Infinity Records Nashville label, becoming the first artist signed by the new record company. His new album is expected to be released in January 2005.
