A Keiko Matsui concert will be held on September 21, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic California Theatre.

Jazz sensation Keiko Matsui will play her compositions with members from the string sections of the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra. This unique fusion of jazz and symphony will mark only the second time in her career that Matsui will play with symphony accompaniment.
Keiko Matsui is currently the world’s most popular female jazz artist. She was awarded Best Female Jazz Artist of the Year in 2000 and 2001 by the Smooth Jazz Awards, and was named Billboard Magazine’s #1 Contemporary Jazz Independent Artist.
It is not very often an artist comes along who transcends a particular style of music. Inspiring others with a positive energy, the artist can create music that reaches deep into the souls of people. Matsui’s infectious melodies and dramatic performances have reached the far ends of the earth gaining stature worldwide. Her piano recordings have traditionally blended easy, funk jazz hits with orchestral grandeur. For tickets call (909) 381-5388 for tickets or stop by 362 W. Court Street, San Bernardino.
