San Bernardino

Members of the community are invited to learn what it is like to be a principal on November 14 as part of the San Bernardino City Unified School District’s 10th Annual Principal for a Day program, co-sponsored by the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce and the Highland Area Chamber of Commerce.

The event allows community members from all walks of life to learn more about the challenges and successes of public education by shadowing a principal during their day. Activities may include meeting with students and parents, visiting classrooms, reviewing the budget, monitoring recess and lunchtime activities, and more.
District Superintendent Dr. Arturo Delgado encourages people to get involved in our schools by participating in this event. “Principal for a Day is an opportunity to further mobilize the expertise and resources of our community to build lasting partnerships and make our schools even better.”
There are still openings for those interested in becoming a Principal for a Day. For additional information or to participate, contact Becki Savage, secretary to the director, Communications Department, at (909) 381-1250.
