Taking a swing at the world of entertainment, Nee-Nee Gwynn, daughter of 20-year San Diego Padres veteran and former major league all-star, Tony Gwynn, has released a debut single entitled “No Means No” on Base Hit Records.
The debut single, “No Means No” is burning up the charts. Billboard charted the smash single at number 4 on the HOT R&B/HIP-HOP SINGLES SALES, number 18 on the HOT 100.
Base Hit Records is a new label, formed by none other than Nee-Nee’s mother, Alicia Gwynn.
Base Hit plans to release Nee-Nee’s debut album in the summer of 2003 and will release the “No Means No” video soon to support the single as Nee-Nee’s album exudes lyrics rhythmically revolving around friendship, independence, and love, with a message that differs from the traditional teen-star on the rise.
Sending a positive message regarding a strong sense of self as an influence for the youth of today.
Spicing it up with percolating party jams, Nee-Nee Gwynn is not the typical teen.
