League MVP Tim Duncan is too much for this year’s Lakers as they beat LA and keep them from a fourth title

The Los Angeles Lakers gave themselves a little hope as they fought back from being down by two games to the San Antonio Spurs. A little “home cookin’” gave the Lakers new life and a chance to even up the series at 3-3 and force a game seven. The result wasn’t even close as the Lakers went out 110 to 82.

Tim Duncan (NBA MVP) led the San Antonio charge as the red hot Texas team dominated the Lakers from the outset of game six. The Lakers appeared exhausted during the series against the Spurs. Coach Phil Jackson had to have his heart repaired as the Laker team also needed some repair.

None of the Lakers had an answer for Tim Duncan. He backed in on Robert Horry and shot over Shaq at will. To reduce the stress on Phil Jackson, the Lakers need to answer many questions before the 2004 season.
