Riverside County Sheriff Bob Doyle recognized 64 members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department last week at the department’s Annual Awards Dinner. Doyle said, “ I consider it an honor and privilege to work with these heroes each and every day.

This year I get to decorate two law enforcement personnel with the department’s Medal of Valor. These deputy sheriffs are real heroes and they went above and beyond the call of duty to warrant the award of our highest decoration.”

In addition to honoring the medal of valor winners, Sheriff Doyle presented the department’s Medal of Honor Award to the families of Slain Deputy Brent Jenkins and Deputy Bruce Lee.

The evening was closed to the general public and attended by 450 department employees and family members. The dinner was underwritten by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Executive Council, a not-for- profit organization that supports the Sheriff’s Department and it’s 3200 personnel.
