San Bernardino

Renowned lecturer and author, Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu, is coming to 16th Street Seventh Day Adventist Church in San Bernardino on Thursday, August 12th from 6pm to 8:30pm.

He has authored over 20 books, many of which address the plight of the Black family, particularly the Black male.

He has discussed his national bestseller: “Countering the Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys,” as a guest on Oprah, BET, and featured in Ebony and Essence magazines. He has also been a guest panelist for Tavis Smiley’s Think Tank: “The State of the Black Family.”

This event is sponsored by P.L.A.N. Ministries (Pre-marital Living and Networking Ministries, AKA Singles Ministry), however, it is open to anyone interested in the theme: “Saving A Man Saves A Family.”

This is not just for men! Women need to attend too, to be informed and aware of their role in the matter; also, it may be useful to the many single women who are raising boys.

Tickets are $10 (cash only), and are now on sale at the Adventist Book Center, across from Stater Brothers located on Barton Road off of Mtn. View Ave. in Loma Linda, and the Berean Christian Bookstores in both Colton and Riverside. If interested in purchasing tickets, please call the number below to reserve tickets.

They can be held at the door up until 5:30pm the day of the event.

There will be a question and answer session and even a book-signing after the event, so please come prepared. You certainly don’t want to miss this awesome opportunity to be intellectually stimulated, and hopefully leave blessed, empowered and encouraged.
