Music Ministry Announces ‘Sing A New Song’

RIVERSIDE – Bishop Lacy Sykes, Jr., and the Music Ministry of Cross Word Christian Church announce its 2012 Fall Musical. This spectacular event will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. This year’s theme is ‘Sing A New Song’ and will feature several new original music selections, as well as Stellar Award winner and special guest, Moses Tyson, Jr. This is a premier gospel music extravaganza that you will not want to miss. Under the creative leadership of Minister of Music, Gregory J. Thomas, the 150+ member Voices of The Word Choir will render selections that inspire praise and worship of the Most High God. Included in this grand celebration will be the Spiritually Anointed Praise Dancers. Due to the overwhelming number of attendees, we highly recommend arriving early (doors open at 4 p.m.).

Our special guest, Moses Tyson, Jr., is known as the “King of the Hammond B-3” and has acquired fans all over the world with his unique approach to playing this organ! Tyson has been proclaimed the world’s greatest living organist and his newest release, Music 2 Remastered & Sacred Organ Music, helps to back up that claim. The release of that CD earned Tyson a 2012 Stellar Award. “Sing a New Song” will be a powerful and memorable evening. Join us and allow the voices and melodies of heaven to stir your soul.

“Cross Word Christian Church is truly blessed by a wealth of talent within the body that forms the church. . .from Spirit-led directors, singers, musicians and dancers to those who serve diligently behind the scenes to ensure the success of an event of this magnitude”, said Bishop Lacy, “Come out to be blessed and remember to praise God as we sing a new song to the Lord!”

This event is FREE and everyone is welcome. Doors open at 4 p.m. Cross Word Christian Church is located at 14950 Riverside Drive, Riverside, CA 92518 (just east of March Reserve Air Base at the corner of Riverside & Meyer Drive). For directions visit: www.crosswordchurch.org.
