Last Tuesday, the San Gorgonio Girl Scout Council hosted its MY PAST HER FUTURE Alumnae Luncheon in Rancho Mirage. I was asked by Knea Hawley, Director of Alumnae Engagement for the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council, to serve on a panel with other Girl Scout alums: Melinda Dougherty CFO of Hadley, Inc, Lynn Malloto CEO of the Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce, and Marcy Herrera a teacher at LaQuinta High School.

We were asked to share our individual scouting stories and how we believe scouting contributed to our success. We had similar stories and experiences including how we all continue to try to live by the Girl Scout motto “Be Prepared.” In honor of Women’s History Month the VOICE will publish a feature story on scouting and I will be writing more about that experience in the March 27th issue. – See more at: http://theievoice.com/i-am-a-girl-scout/#sthash.4DpeldmL.dpuf
