Overview: The current status of races for congressional and legislative offices representing the inland region has been updated. Riverside County’s voter turnout was around 45%, while San Bernardino County’s voter turnout was 36.5%. Statewide, Democrat Adam Schiff leads Republican Steve Garvey with 57.3% of the votes. In the U.S. House of Representatives, several races are still too close to call, including the 36th District, where Republican Jeff Gonzalez leads Democrat Corey A. Jackson by just 0.4%, and the 48th District, where Republican Darrell E. Issa leads Democrat Marjorie Annick by 59.32%.

Although the ballots will continue to be counted for several days, if not weeks, here is an update on the current status of races for congressional and legislative offices representing the inland region. 

Voter turnout in Riverside County hovered around 45% of the nearly 1.4 million registered voters. In San Bernardino County fewer voters, only 36.5% of the county’s nearly 1.2 million registered voters participated in the General Election
