The Trump administration’s leaked budget proposal suggests cutting funding for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline’s LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services, which provides emergency crisis support to vulnerable youth, increasing the risk of suicide and urging advocates to seek support from available resources.

Daphne Hawkins was the first one up for the public comment section of the Redlands Unified School District (RUSD) board meeting on March 11, 2025. She shared the three racial incidents her and her husband Channing Hawkins’ son has experienced within 90 days.
