Since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade on June 24, 2022, and left the abortion issue in the hands of the states, conservative leaders in states across the country have enacted complete bans on abortion or restricted access to abortion related services and/or medications. The most recent national battle over abortion involves the attempt by a Texas federal judge to rescind the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of mifepristone, one of the drugs used in the process of ending a pregnancy.
