The Trump administration is accused of reinterpreting long-standing principles of governance and the Constitution to fit its backward perspective of greatness, leading the nation down the rabbit hole of political ideologies and making it difficult to separate fact from fiction.

With so much political negativity in the air rising from extreme and questionable actions of the current commander-in-chief, it is sometimes challenging to remember how much power we have as citizens; how local communities and leaders are standing as bulwarks against these actions; and how gratitude is a powerful tool for effecting change.

As Civil Rights lawsuits continue to accrue against Bianco, we should not only be concerned about individuals who died or were harmed in our county’s jails, we must also be concerned about what Bianco’s aberrant leadership will cost the county in the long run as the claims against him continue to be settled.

ICE agents launch an attack on residents of an apartment complex in the middle of the night Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, located on the Southside of Chicago. The attack was made under the guise of searching for Venezuelan gang members. It left residents of the predominantly Black neighborhood traumatized.

On September 10, when the Inland Valley Development Agency (IVDA) decided to abandon the Inland Valley Infrastructure Corridor Project (IVIC), near the San Bernardino Airport. This was the second time in two years IVDA back-tracked and abandoned redevelopment plans in the airport region.
